Maple Street Chess Club (demo)

Ladder

Each site and time control is its own rating pool, so Lichess and chess.com numbers sit side by side and are never mixed. Sorted by the biggest rating change; press a column to sort by it.

? provisional rating (the site wants more games). * counted from the day I started reading the player, so earlier games are missing. – not known. Games are rated games in the period.

A question mark after a rating: the site still calls it provisional. An asterisk after a change: I have no rating from before the period (the player joined, or started this time control, during it), so it counts from their first rating inside it. Streak: days in a row with a rated game on either site. chess.com has no classical pool. Freshness: players who played in the last day are read every 10 minutes, and so is anyone who played in the last 30 days while someone has this page open. Players active in the last week are read every hour and a half, players active in the last 30 days daily, everyone else weekly. Lichess and chess.com limit how often I can ask, so "Refresh now" works once every 2 minutes per ladder. Glossary · How the two sites compare

Who improved

Rating change in classical over the last 30 days, each player's better site. Bars are colored by site.

No classical games: Ada K., Ben O., Dev P., Elena M., Felix W., Grace L., Hugo B., Iris D., Jonah R., Kira N., Leo H., Maya S..

Rating lines, both sites

Classical ratings since Oct 8, the most active players first. The number at the end of each line is today's rating.

When the club plays

Rated games per player per day over the last 35 days, both sites together. 1,209 games on 34 of 35 days; the busiest day of the week is Fridays.

Where the club's ratings sit

Each dot is a club player, placed by rating. The gray bars are all 656 accounts I track, as a share per 100-point band. Provisional ratings are left out.

Pairings for the next club night

Everyone sorted by classical strength and paired with the nearest player. Lichess ratings are used as they are; chess.com-only players are placed with the fitted comparison and marked "est.". A starting point, not a rule.

Not paired (no classical rating): Ben O., Elena M., Felix W..

Weekly awards

Weeks run Monday to Sunday, UTC. Most improved: the biggest gain in one pool with at least 5 games there that week. Most active: the most rated games on both sites.
